Treatment Room

Services provided include dressings, blood sampling, ear syringing, ECGs, immunisations, holiday vaccinations (including yellow fever) and travel advice.

 

Clinics

These are held throughout the week and more information about the clinics listed below is available from reception.

Antenatal

If you become pregnant, you will need to arrange a booking appointment by ringing the midwives at the West Gate Centre on  01454 315355 during office hours.  You do not need to see a GP.

At your booking appointment the midwife will ask you a few questions and carry out some general health checks. You will be seen regularly throughout your pregnancy.

Child Health & Immunisation

All new babies receive appointments for immunisations at the surgery from 8 weeks old

Minor Surgery

We are currently unable to add patients to our minor surgery waiting list. Several local private providers offer these services.

Nurse Services

Asthma, cervical smear, contraceptive services, diabetic, heart disease, hypertension, stop smoking, stroke and health checks for all ages. Our nursing team provide specialist advice and support in these areas.

Specialist & Hospital Care

If a GP or another member of our health care team believes you need hospital treatment or specialist care elsewhere, they will offer you the choice of where you would like to go so that you can be referred appropriately.

If you are referred through the Choose and Book system you will also be able to book your own appointment at a time that suits you.

Aged 45—74?

Courtside Surgery offers free NHS health check appointments to patients without the pre-existing conditions of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, kidney disease and certain types of dementia.

Travel Clinic

GP surgeries are working under increasing pressure, and have to prioritise the services they can provide. We no longer offer a full travel service.

The NHS has a very comprehensive website, giving the information you need to identify any vaccines advised for trips abroad, and ensure that you stay as healthy as possible.

Sexual Health

Sexual health services are provided by Unity Sexual Health. To make an appointment or to speak to someone for advice phone 0117 342 6900 or visit the Unity Sexual Health website for more info

If you are pregnant and considering a termination, please call Unity Central Booking Line  0345 872 5435 – you do not need to book an appointment at to see a GP. This number is available everyday 7am-8pm.

 

Autism Self Referral

Parents/carers can refer children and young people to the Specialist Autism Assessment Service without seeing a GP
