How to Order a Repeat Prescription
You can order your repeat medication through the following methods:
- via the NHS App
- by filling out our online form
- tick the appropriate box on the duplicate page of your script and then hand it in or post it.
We regret that we are unable to accept routine prescription requests over the phone with the exception of housebound patients.

Prescriptions will be sent to your chosen pharmacy 3 full working days after the request is received. Sometimes it may take longer than this, as your GP may need to review your prescription and check that it is still suitable for you.

From 1st April 2025, when ordering repeat prescriptions, please allow at least THREE working days for your prescription to be processed by the surgery.
You can now order your repeat prescriptions through the NHS App, where you can also view your recent test results and medical record.
If you run out of repeat medication, you can request a small urgent supply using the 111 online emergency prescription service
For urgent prescription requests, please see our Repeat Prescription Policy for further information.
For safety reasons we do not normally process prescriptions more than 2 weeks before they are due, however if you need your medication early just let us know the reason eg ‘Going on holiday’ .
Private Providers Policy
Every patient has the right to choose private care if they wish. Some private specialists accept self-referrals from patients, whereas others insist on a GP referral first. In this instance, if your GP agrees that a referral is necessary, they can provide a referral letter.
