How to Book an Appointment

Urgent Appointments

To request an urgent appointment for today or tomorrow (Monday to Friday) complete eConsult before 12pm.

You can fill a form in any time between 6.30pm on Sunday until 6.30pm on Friday.

Alternatively a friend or relative can complete an eConsult on your behalf.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

If you are unable to access the internet, you can call the reception team and they will complete an eConsult form on your behalf, this requires around 10 to 15 minutes of your time on the phone answering the questions.

 

Routine Appointments

To request a routine appointment in the next 7 to 14 days:

  • Complete an eConsult. You can fill an eConsult form in any time between 6.30pm on Sunday until 6.30pm on Friday.
  • If you are unable to access the internet, you can call the reception team and they will complete an eConsult form on your behalf.
  • Alternatively a friend or relative can help you complete an eConsult

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you either by phone or face to face at the surgery

 

Appointments that can be booked by phone or at the reception desk

  • Babies under 6 months old
  • Treatment room appointments ie Leg ulcers, cervical smears, coil removals, B12 injections, vaccinations
  • Patients who require chronic disease appointments ie Diabetes, asthma, COPD reviews - please call reception to make this appt once you receive a message about your annual review
  • Patients who require annual bloods or drug monitoring bloods will be sent self-book links to book an appointment, but if you cannot use this link, please call or book via the reception desk
 

Cancelling or Changing an Appointment

If you can’t attend your appointment, contact us as soon as possible to cancel.  This is so we can offer your appointment to someone else in need.

To cancel your appointment

  • Use the NHS app
  • Use the text message function, when you receive a text reminder
  • Phone us on 01454 313 874 – Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm
  • Walk in during front desk opening hours 8am to 11.30am and 2.30pm to 6.00pm
 

Administration queries

Administration queries like requesting notes, completion of reports, fit note requests, change of address or details, please complete an eConsult.

 

Accessing patient services

Our practice is pleased to offer patients enhanced access to GPs and other healthcare professionals including

  • Clinical pharmacists for medication reviews and cholesterol, hypertension and asthma review appointments
  • First contact practitioners to help with musculoskeletal problems
  • Mental health nurses for support with mental health problems
  • Wellbeing coach
  • Nursing team to provide treatment room services and chronic illness management
  • Phlebotomy service 
  • GP appointments for complex medical problems
 

Home Visits

If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need.

To request a home visit, it’s helpful if you phone the practice as soon after 8am as possible.
